We offer a variety of classes primarily focusing on functional fitness. Our goal is to help increase your strength, stamina and mobility. Classes are fit for all levels of fitness. Because of the class layout and space we are able to give each client the individual attention they need. All classes are first-come, first-served, so please sign up on Mind Body to reserve your spot.

Bootcamp
This is a fun, high energized class, set up in a circuit style format.  You will use anything from kettlebells, battle ropes, TRX, slam balls, dumbells, plyometrics boxes, body weight exercises, bands etc.  We will move around the room switching between multi- movement strength exercises and high intensity cardio moves.  Interval training is the best way to burn fat, build lean muscle, increase stamina and keeps your body from plateauing. Come ready to challenge your body and mind!  Any level of fitness is welcome.  We can modify each exercise, making it more suitable for your fitness level.

 

Strength
Strength class will dial in and target a specific pair of muscle groups.  Focus will be push/pull, upper/lower body, or whatever I seem fit within the rest of the weeks class schedule. example:  If we focus on Push muscles on Wednesday (quads, adductors, chest, triceps and shoulders we will focus on Pull muscles (Hamstrings, glutes, abductors, back and biceps) on Friday; or sometimes I may break it into Upper body focus/Lower body focus. Not only will we focus on larger muscle groups, but we always make sure to focus in on the smaller muscle groups to help with stabilization, muscular balance and to prevent injury. 

Kickboxing
A great workout for everyone interested in improving their fitness & stamina. This class is flexible to serve the needs of all students - it will get beginners into shape, it will challenge advanced athletes, & both men & women are welcome! Class format integrates combinations of punches, kicks, & heavy-bag work. Additional muscle and motion exercises are incorporated to strengthen and tone. You will have fun, reduce stress, & get an awesome workout!  Come kick and punch your way to a fitter you!

TRX Circuit
This class is a fun unique blend of TRX, functional training tools (slam balls, ropes, db's etc.) and the Barre.   We will start with full body exercises using the TRX, MB, weights, ropes, slam balls, etc and then will set your hips and glutes on fire on the barre!  Get ready to tone, challenge and wake up stabilizer muscles you never knew you had. The TRX delivers a fast effective total body workout by requiring your core muscles to constantly remain engaged throughout the workout.

 

Power Pilates/Mobility
Power Pilates is a full body low impact workout that combines Pilates with light strength training to build control, core strength, balance and muscular endurance. Throughout class we will mix in a flow of mobility training to lengthen and stretch large muscle groups. Our focus will be on strengthening your deep core and stabilizer muscles. Equipment used during class may include light dumbbells, bands, balls, gliders, stability ball, foam rollers and TRX.

Outdoor Bootcamp (spring/summer)
We will meet outside at the Capital.  The main Capitol stairs are under construction. Instructor will text you on whether we will meet on the main Capitol lawn, at the library stairs or the east side of Heritage Center. Please bring a theraband and yoga mat or towel if you already own one.  If not, we will have extra's for you to use.  We will utilize our surroundings to get a great cardio and strength workout; using the steps, benches, walls, grass area etc. The options are endless at the capitol. There are so many fun areas to workout at. This will be circuit training class consisting of cardio, strength and core work. Class is open to all fitness levels!  We will modify each move to your specific level of fitness.

Tabata core
Tabata training is one of the most effective types of high intensity interval training. Through a variety of simple, yet intense exercises, each workout will blast the calories and provide noticeable results in a short amount of time. This class will start with 6-8 Tabata circuits, a four minute exercise sequence broken into eight (20 seconds of intense work followed by 10 seconds of rest) intervals. The remainder of the class time will be core focused.  We will complete a series of core moves focusing on your abs, obliques, glutes and abductors.
